“ROSA” opens the source code of free software development ROSA ABF

The company “ROSA” announces the beta release of the development of free software ROSA ABF, capable of supporting the continued development of the popular distributions of free operating systems and applications for them in a single environment. Source code is available on the project is licensed under GPL v2.

ROSA ABF (Automatic Build Farm) - is a unified development environment for various distributions of free software. In contrast to the analogs, which work only with a limited set of operating systems based on Linux, ROSA ABF allows developers to develop distributions of virtually all existing packet bases (Red Hat, Debian, OpenSuse, Ubuntu, Mandriva, ROSA, Alt Linux, etc).

The appearance of ROSA ABF - is the logical development of the ideology of development environments and the assembly of free software. The system is a departure from the policy of specialization in one SPE distribution and its derivatives and, consequently, the creation of an automated mechanism for harmonizing relationships with rebuilding packages. This gives developers the confidence that they are available in the ROSA ABF basic software components are collected without conflict with each other. That improves the quality of developed software in general, and can significantly reduce time and costs of developing new products.

Project ROSA ABF actively developed since 2010. In 2011, the first operating results have been handed over the Ministry of Communications and Mass Communication as a prototype software development environment in the first phase to build the National program platform. As the CEO, “ROSA” Dmitry Komissarov, “ROSA ABF allows it to fully ensure the competitive conditions of filling NPP, as it enables developers to simultaneously create a variety of options for operating systems and is compatible with these versions of application software.”
