Palm introduced webOS - its new OS based on Linux

The exhibition CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2009 the company introduced its new Palm operating system for mobile devices - webOS. It will be used in the smartphone Palm Pre.

webOS - a new embedded operating system Palm, focused on the use of smartphones with touch screen. Its source code is open, but to the involvement of Open Source-components. Landmarks webOS becomes clear even from its name: the system actively takes advantage of modern Web-technologies.
