Moglen: How we destroyed the Novell deal with Microsoft

Eben Moglen (Eben Moglen) of the Organization of Free Software FSF (Free Software Foundation) announced the intention to make the future GPLv3 license amendments, which would negate the meaning of deals like the one recently entered into a Novell and Microsoft. “Our strategy - to use the GPL 3 against the deal, and we are not going to deviate from this strategy,” - said Moglen. “We’re going to deny a deal of common sense and prompted Microsoft to withdraw from the deal, which will not work, so gracefully and quickly as possible” - he added in his interview with The Register.
