Discussion of the introduction of ACT at the board meeting at the President of the Information Society Development

At today’s Council meeting at the President of the Information Society Development Dmitry Medvedev reminded the ministers on the ongoing project to implement the ACT on a platform Linux.

The President noted that the progress of the project reach different signals, including that the work petered out, and many departments continue to buy separate programs at a cost of a larger budget. It was requested to report on this matter.

As an example of problems in the field of information were, in particular, are generated by digital libraries that are inconvenient to use because of the lack of a common technological base. Dmitry Medvedev stressed that such problems can be solved ACT. http://www.vesti.ru/videos?vid=286417
