Windows officially became friends with Linux

Representatives from Microsoft and Novell signed an agreement whereby the operating system open source SUSE Linux can be run on machines running Windows. The agreement was the result of a long struggle with Microsoft competitors, adheres to the open-source, reports Reuters.

Microsoft will provide programmers working on Linux, the necessary technical support. Thus, Microsoft recognized the growing popularity and the role of the operating system with open source software market.
