Prospects for a national software platform in Russia

May 14, 2009 at the exhibition “SvyazEkspokomm” will be the fifth Forum for open source software (Open Source Forum Russia) - a project of “Fort-Ross Ltd., which each year gathers over 500 participants interested in the topic of free software, market prospects for the ACT and its use in the public sector and in business.

An interesting element of the program will be a round table “Prospects for a national software platform in Russia.” A key speaker at the roundtable will address Ilya Ponomarev, deputy of the State Duma, the initiator of the Appeal to the President of Russia on the project of creating a “national software platform.” His speech will focus on the prospects of the project (in what state initiative is now, what partners have expressed willingness to participate in the project, etc.).
