Minkomsvyazi developed proposals for transfer of state organs to free software

State authorities offered to move to free software.

In Minkomsvyazi Russia developed a package of documents on the development and acquisition of software for use in the organs of state power and budgetary institutions. The package includes a draft order, guidance and a transition plan for the ACT.

As it became known CNews, Minkomsvyazi reported on the development of these documents including the purpose of arousing in the IT industry discuss the transition to free software Russia’s authorities and budgetary organizations.

Before you enter into force, all documents, including the transition plan for the ACT government agencies must undergo harmonization in the relevant departments, including the Ministry of Economy.

The document is designed to protect state interests in the field of copyright and related rights in the information technology, budgetary savings in public procurement in the delivery of software, works, services required to develop computer software and its implementation in government and budgetary institutions, as well as ensuring technological compatibility of information systems involved in information interaction in the provision of Real Innovations federal bodies of executive power.

The paper elaborated the concept of “free software”.
