Released distro GNU / Linux Debian 5.0 Lenny

After nearly two years of development went fifth version of the Debian distribution, code-named Lenny. Submitted 23200 packets (in 7700 more than etch), occupying from 4 to 5 DVD, from 28 to 32 CD or 1 Blu-ray disc. Now supports Debian Linux Standards Base (LSB) version 3.2 (previously 3.1). Available architecture: Intel x86, Alpha, SPARC, PowerPC, ARM, MIPS, Intel Itanium, HP PA-RISC, S/390, AMD64, ARM EABI. For Intel X86 and AMD64 are official Debian Live CD. Used kernel Linux 2.6.26.

System Setup Debian Installer also received a good development. Added support of boot firmware (firmware) during installation, the installation of Microsoft Windows, support for SATA RAID, improved hardware support.
