HP has released a special version of Ubuntu for netbooks with its graphic iterfeysom

Hewlett-Packard has released a version of Ubuntu Linux specifically for netbooks. Namely, for his model HP Mini 1000 MIE.

Self assembly of HP is based on the core Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron and able to run all standard applications under Ubuntu, including OpenOffice.org, Firefox, Thunderbird, Sunbird and Pidgin. Actually, all these programs come preinstalled.

What differs Mi Edition - is the graphical interface, which has nothing to do with a standard interface Ubuntu. For example, immediately after booting the system there is a window with the main icons and the search string on the Internet.

Perhaps the assembly HP Mini 1000 Mi Edition can be called one of the best distros Ubuntu for netbooks, if not the best.

In the near future HP will lay out a network utility to create a bootable USB-flash drives from under Windows, so set yourself Mi Edition can any owner netbook.
