SafeLine released a terminal operating system Linux XP mini

Company SafeLine announces the release of terminal solutions Linux XP mini. This solution will help organize secure remote access to the terminal server without having to install software on end user’s computer.

Distribution Linux XP mini is about 128 MB and placed on a portable storage device, for example, USB-drive. The operating system starts with a mobile carrier, while startup time takes only 20 seconds. After loading the user gets the opportunity to work on a remote terminal server. Significantly, that if such a scheme, information processing, all documents and data it accesses the user, are stored on the server. Accessed from the user’s PC via a secure VPN-channel (Organization of the VPN-channel is possible due to the built-in distribution of Linux XP mini certified means of data protection “Continent AP (PO item)”, developed by Informzaschita). Also in the Linux XP mini is kriptoyadro, allowing for the encryption of data on GOST. Use of such solutions can safely handle confidential information and personal data.

On the server, which turns the remote user through Linux XP mini, as the OS can be installed as Windows, and Linux - can easily access organized by any protocols of the terminal session.

It is noteworthy that the system requirements for the computer from which the terminal access, minimum: Celeron 600 processor, 256MB of RAM. This will allow companies (regional offices, government agencies, etc.), significant savings on hardware-based, that the crisis could not be more timely.

Linux XP mini allows you to install any kind of connections, depending on the type of communication line. At home or on a business trip, you can use Dial-UP connection, and at work - ADSL or other lines, for example, Ethernet. Each time you start Linux XP mini system remembers the old connection settings, which are stored on the mobile carrier.

To date, no Linux-system does not become the basis of such a secure solution. In 2009, the planned certification of Linux XP mini FSTEK the FSB and Russia. After receipt of the certificate that decision in full may be used for handling confidential information and personal data.
