Alex Fedorchuk: first impressions of which appeared this week, operating system, OpenSolaris 2008.11

To meet with OpenSolaris, I would like a long time - and even in the distant 90’s, during the regular opening of the system, such attempts I have taken. They ended full Fetyaska - one type of leaf compatibility with the equipment caused miserly male tear even Linux users, not so spoiled when the support apparatus. Since then the situation has changed. And after a branch-free descendant of the proprietary Solaris in this descendant uses the same Xorg, integrated environment GNOME, Openoffice.org, and other applications, as in any Linux distribution or BSD-system. This gives hope for the possibility of using OpenSolaris for peaceful purposes. Are they justified - time will tell. And yet, for a start, the system should try to install. Consideration of this issue and we will be discussed in this article.
