In Linux will be a revolutionary file system

Linus Torvalds has suffered a big set of patches from Theodore Ts’o in the main development branch Linux. This set contains a patch that implements the functionality of the long-awaited file system Ext4. Moreover, it is now ext4, but not ext4dev. All this shows that with the next version of kernel 2.6.28 the successor to ext3 has finally come out of “hot” stage of development.
