Has been released the official version of Linux-Distribution Ubuntu 8.04

Officially released Linux-distro Ubuntu 8.04
The new version is codenamed “Hardy Heron”.
New features:
GNOME 2.22: the latest version of the popular working environment with some nice innovations.
Linux kernel 2.6.24: contains a new process scheduler and patches that improve energy efficiency.
PulseAudio: Sound Server, which has flexible settings, such as the ability to change the volume level for each application
Xorg 7.3: latest version of X’s, more easy; new utility for easy configuration of output to external monitors.
Firefox 3 Beta 5: famous web browser, which is now better integrated into the working environment Gnome.
Uncomplicated Firewall (ufw): firewall with the possibility of a simplified setup.
Wubi: allows you to install ubuntu in windows as a normal application.
