In 2011, on Linux will spend $ 49 billion

Researchers at IDC predicts growth of total world expenditure on Linux and related open source operating system software with 21 billion USD in 2007 to 49 billion USD in 2011.
As noted by analysts IDC, has recently become more pronounced tendency of expanding the use of Linux-servers in the area of commerce-oriented databases and enterprise management systems. This area “has historically been the territory of Microsoft Windows and Unix”.
