Ivan Voras presented the first alpha version of a new installer with a graphical user interface (GUI), the free operating system, FreeBSD - finstall.
The main ideas of the project to create a new installer FreeBSD finstall: support for advanced features not found in sysinstall, the ability to run with FreeBSD LiveCD, the separation of front-end and back-end (both components should be easily expandable with additional features and is replaced by alternative development), support for network installation in the back-end (use the service alerts and configure like Zeroconf), make a back-end part of the base FreeBSD for use as a routine tool for system configuration.
