Since the purpose of this article - to introduce you to the Linux kernel and provide an overview of its architecture and main components, let’s start with a brief overview of the history of the kernel Linux, then look at the architecture of the kernel Linux “bird’s-eye view”, and finally discuss its main subsystems.
