Text Processing in UNIX

In this article, you can get a brief idea of extracting text from files and programs, with simple transliterations with the command tr and complex search and replace operation with the command sed. Then all you have done the same thing again with the help of a programming language and scripting Perl, so you can see how Perl can serve as a powerful replacement as team tr, and sed.
