State Duma deputy Viktor Alksnis received from the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications official response, according to which the agency has long been working to build Russia’s own distribution based on free software. The attached document lists all the possible candidates - from the secret WSWS (Mobile System of the Armed Forces), Atliks (used by the FSB) and Yanux, available to the general public AltLinux, ASPLinux, and other (listed a total of six options).
